Buff orpington hen

The orpington is an active and docile hen, known for the tenderness of its flesh and its winter laying.

It does not fly and is easy to breed in a small enclosure. It is necessary to provide it with sufficient food during its growth phase: the observation of the final mass takes 18 months.

The hen is an excellent brooder and mother. She lays between 175 and 200 eggs per year. This breed exists in many varieties, including very rare.
